Sheepdrove Farm wind turbines LVIA
Client: Sheepdrove Organic Farm trustees
Landscape and visual assessment of proposed turbines in the North Wessex Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The proposals were for one 100kW (47m to blade tip) turbine and one domestic turbine. The assessment was undertaken in line with GLVIA Second Edition. Issues addressed included the sensitivity of the wider landscape including views from hillforts and a national trail. This was balanced by the relationship of the proposed turbines to the new landscape patterns of the ground breaking organic farm in which they were proposed to be located and its associated objectives.
