Policy
Helping local authority planners in both England and Wales integrate a landscape evidence base into policy is one of our key missions! The practice appreciates the difference in the two national systems. We also understand what is required to provide robust, locally relevant landscape and design policies for local development frameworks and local development plans strategies and for development control.
We have prepared landscape and design SPDs and SPGs linking policy with data as well as robust landscape evidence base written with planning use in mind. The practice’s urban design qualifications inform the landscape expertise to provide a realistic and justifiable output.
We are closely monitoring the potential changes in policy in England including the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and Localism Bill and also how the latter affects Wales. We respond to consultations where approrpiate, such as on the NPPF.
