Simon has recently appeared as landscape expert witness at two public inquiries for Aylesbury Vale District Council. Both appeals were successfully dismissed:
– Weston Turville- housing in a gap between settlements with coalescence and cumulative impact issues as well as the effect on a settlement with a Conservation Area and landscape character.
– Maids Moreton- effects on rising land in a disputed ‘valued landscape’ with effects on public rights of way, an established parish boundary, a local landscape designation away from the site and settlement pattern.
