Mynydd y Gwynt (Sweet Lamb) wind farm NSIP

We prepared landscape and visual evidence against a wind farm of 27 125m turbines proposed east of Strategic Search Area D in North/Mid Wales. Key issues were the effect on Pumlumon and the sources of the Severn and Wye with associated long distance footpaths. In addition, the issue of potential cumulative effects with SSA D was in contention. We provided advice, reporting in written representations and responses, and Simon attended the hearing. The Secretary of State decided against the development which also failed at judicial review.
